Are you an ambitious and motivated IT professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Green Bridge Community Housing (GBCH) is expanding, and we’re seeking a dedicated IT Technician to join our team. In this dual role, you’ll support our growing organisation by maintaining our IT infrastructure while playing a key role in the development and management of our Airtable system.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for providing hands-on IT support across the organisation, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. You’ll also contribute to the development and maintenance of our Airtable databases, helping to optimise workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Airtable Development & Management:

• Assist in the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of Airtable databases to support business operations.
• Create and optimise Airtable scripts, automations, and integrations to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Airtable configurations and performance.
• Collaborate with teams to understand requirements and develop customised Airtable solutions.
• Provide documentation, training, and user support for Airtable systems.

IT Systems & Support:

• Provide day-to-day IT support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, printers, mobile phones, and network systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and IT security protocols.
• Maintain IT security, backup systems, and disaster recovery processes to protect company data.
• Maintain an asset register and manage IT inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Develop and enforce IT policies and best practices to enhance system reliability and security.
• Maintain and monitor network performance, identifying and resolving any connectivity or security issues.
• Undertake regular security updates and give advice/training on how to spot potential scams and viruses.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Proven experience in an IT support role.
• Experience supporting end-users in hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Experience in database design, workflow automation, and data management.
• Solid understanding of networking principles (wired/wireless infrastructure).
• Knowledge of IT systems administration, cloud storage, and system troubleshooting.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Ability to train end-users on software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Desirable:

• Strong proficiency in Airtable development (scripting, automations, API integrations).
• Hands-on experience with server setup, network security, and backup solutions.
• Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or similar IT qualifications.
• Experience in IT project management.
• Experience with additional automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, API integrations).
• Familiarity with server operating systems and cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Google Drive, SharePoint).
• Previous experience in an IT infrastructure role.
