Support Services Manager at Green Bridge Community Housing

Green Bridge Community Housing (GBCH) is expanding, and we’re seeking a dedicated Support Services Manager to join our Sheffield team. In this role, you’ll lead with integrity, ensuring our service users receive the highest quality care while fostering a workplace where every team member feels valued and empowered.
About the Role:
As a Support Services Manager at GBCH, you’ll embody our core values of Belonging, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, Growth, and Empowerment. You’ll oversee the day-to-day management of our support team, ensuring they deliver compassionate and effective services to vulnerable adults across South & West Yorkshire. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a supportive environment where staff can thrive and where service users receive the consistent, high-quality support they deserve.
Please note this is not a care worker role and does not involve intimate/personal care. A Sponsorship Visa is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership with Integrity: Manage the daily activities of the support team, including scheduling, addressing unforeseen challenges, and conducting regular meetings to review staff performance. Lead with honesty and transparency, ensuring all team members feel respected and supported.
- Fostering Belonging and Growth: Provide direct supervision and support to staff, conduct appraisals, address grievances, and promote their health and well-being. Identify training and development needs, ensuring every team member has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
- Dedication to Support: Oversee caseload management and service user allocations, ensuring consistent and quality support. Work closely with the Compliance Team to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement, always striving to enhance our services.
- Empowering Recruitment and Relationships: Participate in the recruitment process, selecting and interviewing candidates who align with our values. Manage external relationships, ensuring seamless communication with agencies to meet the needs of our service users.
- Leading Safeguarding Efforts: Serve as the safeguarding lead, managing incidents, disclosures, and referrals, and ensuring our practices meet the highest standards of care and respect.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience and Dedication: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable adults in social care, housing, or support services. A commitment to providing continuous, high-quality support.
- Integrity in Leadership: Proven ability to manage and supervise a medium-large team, with experience in handling performance, grievances, and disciplinary issues with fairness and transparency.
- Qualifications for Growth: Relevant Level 3/4 qualification in a related field, with a strong understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and multi-agency collaboration.
- Skills in Empowerment: Excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and empower your team to achieve their best.
