Available Shifts:
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 10:00 PM – 9:00 AM
- Sleep-in shifts: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM, sleep-in until 7:00 AM
Salary:
- £25,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time permanent roles).
- Zero-hours contracts: £12.82 per hour.
Green Bridge Community Housing offers supported living services to vulnerable adults.
As our services continue to grow, we are seeking reliable and compassionate Night Mental Health Recovery Workers to provide on-site support during overnight hours. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, calm, and supportive environment for service users throughout the night.
A Sponsorship Visa is not available for this role.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting Night Mental Health Recovery Workers to support individuals within our mental health services during overnight hours.
This is a site-based role, with staff remaining in one location for the duration of their shift. Shifts include both waking night and sleep-in duties, depending on service requirements.
Both full-time and part-time contracts are available.
All employees receive full training. As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to pass an enhanced DBS check (provided by GBCH) and demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK.
A strong understanding of safeguarding, duty of care, and professional boundaries is essential, along with the ability to work calmly and independently during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
In line with our ethos of promoting independence, your role will include:
- Providing overnight support and reassurance to service users
- Monitoring wellbeing and completing required night-time checks
- Responding appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or changes in presentation
- Supporting risk management and safeguarding procedures
- Maintaining a safe, calm, and supportive environment overnight
- Completing accurate records, logs, and handover notes
- Liaising with on-call managers, internal teams, or emergency services when required

- Reliability, alertness, and professionalism during overnight shifts
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills
- An understanding of safeguarding and duty of care for vulnerable adults
- The ability to build rapport, demonstrate empathy, and maintain professional boundaries
Job Criteria
- Health & Social Care Level 3 qualification (Desirable but not essential)
- Relevant experience in Health & Social Care or a related degree (Desirable)
- Additional languages are an advantage
