SUPPORT PROGRAMME

SUPPORT PROGRAMME

Our dedicated Support Workers work alongside our clients to equip them with the skills to live and support themselves independently; empower them to achieve their development goals and aspirations; and reduce their social exclusion.

We design and deliver a variety of support to our clients, depending on their specific needs. These include:

  • Therapeutic support
  • Independent living
  • Social engagement
  • Work/training
  • Relationship mediation

Each client has a tailored support plan, detailing their specific needs, desired development outcomes and activities to support these outcomes. Our Support Workers then work with clients to implement the specified activities, in order to support the attainment of the desired aims and outcomes.

The support plans and client progress are regularly reviewed, assessed and updated to ensure that the clients’ ongoing needs are met effectively.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

As a committed proponent of Equality and Diversity, GBCH prohibits prejudicial and discriminatory behaviour in all its forms on the basis of race, religion or belief, age, disability, sex, gender, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, and sexual orientation.

We aim to provide services and work environments that are safe, caring, equitable and free from discrimination, harassment and bullying.

We strive to ensure the provision of equitable, non-judgemental and effective support to our clients, without prejudice; taking effective steps to ensure their complex needs are met, in accordance with their best interests, and that their voices are heard, valued and placed at the heart of service provision.

To promote and encourage an environment of positivity and inclusivity we:

  • Conduct annual impact assessments to assess the efficacy and inclusiveness of our policies and procedures.
  • Challenge inappropriate attitudes and practices
  • Ensure that staff receive relevant and appropriate training
