Green Bridge Community Housing (GBCH) are currently looking for Supported Accommodation Officers (SAO) to join our rapidly growing organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for patient, reliable, and empathetic individuals who can inspire people to make positive changes and realise their full potential.
Our roles will suit those with experience in support and advocacy, delivering commissioned support packages, working with diverse client groups, or those with a qualification in Health & Social Care. We also welcome applicants with lived experience, graduates, and volunteers who are passionate about supporting vulnerable adults.
Please note: This is not a care worker role and does not involve intimate/personal care. A Sponsorship Visa is not available. A driving licence and access to a car is essential.
As a Supported Accommodation Officer, you will work directly with service users to support their social, emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing, equipping them with the skills to live independently and reduce social exclusion.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide practical, person-centred support to service users in line with their individual support plans

Support individuals to develop independent living skills and achieve their personal goals

Review and update support plans, risk assessments, and related documentation

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily contact notes and service user files

Accompany service users to appointments and support engagement with external services and agencies

Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners

Follow all safeguarding and organisational policies, including reporting risks and incidents

Manage your workload effectively, prioritising urgent or high-risk cases

Engage in training, supervision, and ongoing professional development

Job Criteria:
-
Driving licence and access to a car (essential)
-
Level 3 Health & Social Care (ideal but not essential)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in health, social care, housing, or support (ideal)

Experience delivering support packages (advantageous)

Additional languages (Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish Sorani, Somali, Tigrinya) are a bonus

Full-time, Monday–Friday (day shifts only)
