Green Bridge Community Housing (GBCH) are currently looking for a number of Supported Accommodation Officers (SAO) to join our rapidly growing organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for patient, reliable, and empathetic individuals who can inspire people to make positive changes to their lives and realise their full potential.

Our roles will suit those with career experience in support and advocacy, delivering support through commissioned packages, have worked with diverse range of clients, those with qualifications in health & social Care, individuals with lived experience, who want to use their understanding of support systems to make a lasting difference in vulnerable adults’ lives.

We welcome applications from graduates and volunteers with a passion for housing provision for vulnerable people.

Please note this is not a care worker role and does not involve intimate/personal care. A Sponsorship Visa is not available for this role. A driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role.

As a Supported Accommodation Officer, you will work directly with service users to support their ongoing social, emotional, mental, and physical development and wellbeing, equipping them with the skills to live independently and reduce their social exclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

· Providing practical support, assistance, and advice to vulnerable service users to promote health and wellbeing and achieve personalised goals.

· Creating accurate support plan reviews and risk assessments.

· Supporting service users to develop independent living skills.

· Accompanying service users to appointments and meetings.

· Undertaking all administration related to support provision.

· Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation of support provision.

· Engaging in multi-agency/partnership working.

· Liaising with other teams regarding emergencies and complaints.

· Reporting maintenance issues and facilitating housing related appointments

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their ability to take responsibility, be reliable, and organised. They also need effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and with external agencies.

An understanding of safeguarding requirements and duty of care when working with vulnerable individuals is imperative, as is the ability to build rapport and demonstrate high levels of empathy whilst maintaining professional boundaries.

Job Criteria:

· Driving licence and car required

· Education: Health & Social Care qualification Level 3 ideal but not essential

· Experience: 2 years’ experience in a health, social care, support / housing role is ideal

· Job Type: Permanent, on-site

· Shifts: Monday – Friday, day shifts only (Full-time roles only available)

· Additional languages such as Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish Sorani, Somali, and Tigrinya are a bonus

· Experience in delivering support packages is an advantage
