Green Bridge Community Housing provides supported accommodation and community support to adults with complex mental health needs, helping them live successfully in the community while promoting recovery, independence and wellbeing.

About the Role
We are recruiting full time (37.5 hours) and part time (pro rata) Mental Health Recovery Workers.
Our service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All contracted staff work on a rota basis, which includes a mixture of:
- Days
- Evenings
- Nights
- Weekends
Please note: shifts are allocated according to the needs of the service and cannot be chosen on a Monday to Friday or daytime only basis.
You will support adults with complex mental health needs, helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence to live successfully within the community while enhancing their recovery and overall wellbeing.
You will work across a number of our supported accommodation services and community locations where required. As part of the role, travel between service users and locations is required. We pay both travel time and mileage.
This role would particularly suit:
- Graduates or undergraduates studying Health & Social Care, Psychology, Social Work or a related subject.
- Individuals with experience supporting people with mental health needs, homelessness, domestic abuse or substance misuse.
- Those looking to build a rewarding career within mental health support.
Full training will be provided.
Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by Green Bridge Community Housing) and provide evidence of their right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside individuals with complex mental health needs, you will:
- Provide practical support, guidance and encouragement to promote health, wellbeing and recovery.
- Develop, review and update support plans and risk assessments.
- Support service users to build independent living skills.
- Accompany service users to appointments, meetings and community activities.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation.
- Liaise with colleagues and external agencies to ensure coordinated support.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, emergencies and incidents.

Essential Criteria
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own vehicle.
- Willingness to work a rota including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
- Willingness to travel between Green Bridge Community Housing services and service users across different locations.
Desirable Criteria
- Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
- Two years’ experience in Health & Social Care or a relevant degree.
- Additional languages such as Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish Sorani, Somali or Tigrinya are an advantage
